Has anyone tried growing dahlias here in AZ. I heard that they are originally from Mexico but people say they don't like the heat.

Dahlias take temps up to 100 deg. pretty good, more than that, they start withering just like anything, anybody else. If you go to the Dahlia Forum, there were a couple of people posting there from Arizona. You might get some logical answers to your questions.
