Looks like a Mesquite tree but

This tree looks like a mesquite, has loads of thorns and blooms mid spring ..brilliant yellow and orange flowers, 20 ft tall at maturity. Anyone know what it is. I wont pictures of blooms until spring 2006

Sounds like Parkinsonia aculeata.
