Drought tolerant plants/small trees for containers?

brownmolaJuly 31, 2010

Hello, I have 3 very long and skinny cedar planters in front of my house sitting on concrete. They are 8 feet long, 15 inches wide and 15 inches high.

I want to plant things that I don't want to water very often. Any suggestions for what would grow well in these size planters?

I really like the desert rose and the tea trees but am worried that the planters may not be big enough.

Rosemary is drought tolerant, and you can prune it into shapes.
