Starting a garden w.my three year old daughter
I'm starting a garden w.my three year old. I am going to do the whole, lay down newspaper, build a raised bed, fill it with soil thing (I know there's some controversy about whether or not it's the best way to do things. I don't want to get into that...I had back surgery last year, so there will be no double digging for this mama)
I am planning on having her start some sunflowers, zinnia, cosmos and alyssum. I am stumped for fast growing annuals that would be good for the middle of her bed though. Does anyone have any ideas? I guess she could grow some bush beans in there, but she doesn't like them, so IDK if I should bother. I know kids are more likely to eat something if they grow it, but we grew them last year and she wouldn't touch them so  Maybe now that she's a little older she might try them, but I digress...
So to make that long story (or question) short...Does anyone have any easy, fast growing, mid-bed annuals?
Thank you in advance!
