Newbie..used too much of Mel's Mix in 4x4

hudsonvalley_zone6aApril 11, 2010

Okay, so I'm not that great with math and noticed that I filled my 4 x4 box to the rim with Mel's Mix. I used 8 cubic feet of each ingredient (with the exception of vermiculite) for this one box and boy did I spend a pretty penny! Any concerns that I should have about using too much mix? Also, b/c I don't have 1/3 vermiculite for this mix...should I worry?

It'll settle.

I just filled mine to the brim and am not worried. I did add vermiculite to mine as it does help with the water issue. I think the dirt will settle down as you plant.
