I don't know if I'm downloading the photo correctly or not..so here goes..

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4109/5009429099_8d0165dc72_m.jpg I saw this tree when I was walking. It has big blue berries or grape like clusters, medium green leaves. The tree is about 8 feet tall. I live in Albuquerque, NM

The fruit cluster looks like Mahonia.
Where was it growing? Along a ditch, in a park or ? Sunny? Shaded?
A larger photo would be helpful.

I agree it does resemble the Mahonia aquifolium, or Oregon Grape.. but the leaves are not like holly leaves as you can see from the photo, they are smooth edged. Maybe this is a hybrid? I posted a larger picture, I hope it comes out bigger now.
