winter is almost here

fgirl21(z6 - MA)August 29, 2003

okay - it's the end of August but I like to plan ahead (especially since DH is such a "BIG" help in the yard LOL).

What does one do with the sandbox sand for the winter? We have 2 plastic sandboxes that can't be left outside over the winter and they'd be too heavy to move with the sand in them.

So, any creative ideas on reusing 100 lbs of play sand?

1) big plastic sheets (Walmart) weighted down... Remove in spring.

2) Receipe to make pots that use sand in it??? (I'm reaching now!!!)

Good Luck
