Reindeer Moss Terrarium

ElvishButterknifeMarch 21, 2013

I would like to make my first moss terrarium and I found a medium size bag of Reindeer Moss at the store. I am not the most educated person when it comes to moss. Is there a way the separate reindeer moss will grow if I put it in my terrarium? I hope this makes sense. I had heard that with moss, you can (if removed properly) re-grow it.

Assuming the moss you picked up was a bag of dried moss?

Whether the moss will "regrow" will depend on if it has any viable spores from that moss as well as your also providing proper growing conditions (different mosses can have very different growing requirements). Never having tried reindeer moss before, I can unfortunately only suggest you Google for what its cultural conditions are.
