WANTED: Wanted: A superior tasting Red Robin
We grew Red Robin this year from seeds received in a trade. The plants were lovely, the fruit pretty but not a particularly strong flavor. It was quite average - worth growing if we just had to have indoor winter tomatoes but not even close to the flavors from our favorite heirlooms.
Does anyone have seeds to share from an especially nicely flavored strain of Red Robin? I'd like to get about 20 seeds and would prefer seeds from someone who collects their seed from multiple fruits.
I have seed from some very nice small fruited tomatoes (normal sized plants) I could send you in return. One is a lovely orange currant tomato that we grew from seed labeled "red currant." Also have a nice strong favored white currant, Black Cherry, and Snowberry available now. All seeds are saved from this year's plants and from multiple fruits.
I'd be happy to seeds of each of those for your best flavored Red Robin.
