Knock out Knats directions

ryseryse_2004March 29, 2013

Just got an order from Garden's Alive for Knock Out Knats and read the directions. 3.6 oz. granules per 100 gallons of water. Yikes!!!! I want to mix only a gallon at a time for my few trays of tomatoes and peppers.

How do I break that down to a gallon of liquid?

This is where my background in algebra helps! 100 has two zeros, so simply move the decimal to the left twice. that gives you .036 of an ounce per gallon. that's approximately 1 gram. you'll need a kitchen scale to measure it out, though. wishing you the best of luck!
