safe plastics for frost/freeze protection

mentheslover(6athru7ainmycounty)April 17, 2008

Hi every body, i recently had a discussion with someone who tried to tell me that there is a plastic which is breatheable. He claims that it is safe to keep it in direct contact with maple foliage thru freezes and on a sunny day in the 60's. So my question is , does it exist? i have never had good experiences with direct plastic to foliage contact on a warm sunny day. I figure if it exists someone here could tell me where to find it. Thanx

I don't know about that, but I do know that a blue plastic tarp that the roofers used to cover my landscaping on the front of the house last week killed the tops of hollies and nandinas in less than 4 hours
