Now leaves are curling

wolfemacleodMay 19, 2010

Now my leaves are curling. One is a newly purchased plant.

I've read that it could be too much nitrogen? How do I know how much nitrogen content I have? How can I reduce the level of it? Or... is this viral? None of the other plants have this... yet...

One of the plants is the same plant withthe previous posted brown spots all over the leaves...

Curled or rolled leaves may have multiple causes -- too wet, or too dry, or too cold. The 2nd image looks droopy, as in too dry.

The leaves are mottled, very coarse textured feeling, and curling up and looks like chloryisis however, very very dark green in the veins but looks like a plant that is drying up actually/severe wilt with rolled edges almost completely closing the leaf up crinkly wise. I can not spell, in other words lacking iron and yet with a very deep green tint in the margins of leaves.. They feel brittle like/tough and not fragile. They are in the sun most of the day but the plant next to it is intermingled leaf wise and not even affected. I have never seen tomato plants look like this. Insects are not visable. The entire plant is like this.

Jean, I've put the plants in a small greenhouse along with a small space heater on low to keep them warm. They seem to be doign a bit better now.
The soil is farily moist... but you're right, that large plant (in fact, both of the newly purchased plants) are fairly droopy.

OK... I just went out to check on them, and noticed something new. Leaves seem to be gettign torn and shredded. I haven't seen any insects...

Pictrues are here
