Hi All,

I recieved an amaryllis at last years fall swap. Can anyone tell me when it might bloom? It is outside. Thanks, Rhonda

Hopefully you brought it in for the freeze. If not, it probably isn't gonna bloom ever.

If the bulb is big enough (say 2.5" or more in diameter) it should bloom in about one or two monthes after sprouting.

Rhonda we have a bed of amaryllis, two are about to bloom now maybe another week. Lots are not showing any signs yet. All do not always bloom when left outside. Sure hope you gave it protection from this last freeze. You probaly got that amaryllis from me.

Mine is blooming like crazy right now, and I did nothing to protect it from the freeze. I leave it in the ground year round. Here's a pic of it (hopefully if I do this right)
