blossom end rot?

Is this blossom end rot? It just showed up on my ripening Brandywine.

Looks more like sunburn/scald where a secondary rot has set in.

It looks to me like a split or insect/slug wound which got infected. BER is typically centered on the blossom scar, with a fairly dry, flat lesion. (There are exceptions, of course, but not too often.)
