what is this worm?

thahalibut(Z-9 CA, SSZ-9)August 20, 2008

I found this "worm" on my tomatoes this morning. We never have problem with worms so I have no idea what it is. They are eating the leaves & small pieces of tomatoes, but donÂt look like they are boring all the way in, just eating a snack I guess. I found in after I picked a tomato & it was next to the stem all covered in its web. I donÂt know if the 2 are related but looks like there is something coming out of those white spotted egg things..

Any help on what they are & how I can get rid of them?

Thanks!

I answered this in your post on the CA forum.

Beyond that, it's not a worm. But they were earlier on

The larger thing is a pupa and the smaller ones are pupae from tiny parasitic wasp which killed several caterpillars.
