Can beets be planted now for a fall crop here in Tennessee?

This UT agricultural extension publication will answer your question and give you planting schedules for most common crops.

Well, I said it would answer the question, but after looking at it again, I'm not sure it does so completely. According to the document, beets aren't recommended as a Fall vegetable in TN. But, maybe someone on here has tried it and can add their experience.
