TOMATOE eaten in my Kitchen!

milaenaSeptember 27, 2008

I bought a nice large tomato a few days ago and put it on the kitchen window sill (quite deep) to ripen further. It should have been ready today. When I got up this morning the tomato was in the same place but had been peeled into bits of skin circled around it, and chunks bitten off right into the middle. Looking on the white tile counter I see little footprints but no droppings. Could this be a RAT!!! We live in the suburbs of San Diego on 1/4 acre. We have lizards and mice probably outside, a few possums. But we also have a large golden retriever who sleeps in. Any notions out there?? Milaena

Sounds like a mouse/rat to me..... Have you noticed anything
"eaten" in your pantry?

Best of luck.
