Bugs eating stems with droppings everywhere

yanina_kOctober 17, 2007

Lately, at night, my tomato plants (the stems) have been eaten by some kind of bug, and in the morning there is a whole lot of brown/green droppings on the soil. I couldn't find this bug, but a picture of the plant and the droppings is attached. Please help me figure out what is eating my plant!!

Caterpillar of one kind or another. To find the culprits), look above the droppings. Probably blends in with the stems, so look closely.
