There might be a possibility we'll be moving to northern Tennessee (northwest of Nashville). As you can see by my name I LOVE peonies. I always thought of them as cold weather perennials. What type grows in Tennessee?

I'm surprised no one has answered yet. My herbaceous peonies do great here. They are all in full sun and even in a somewhat dry location. They are tough as nails.

I haven't personally grown any tree peonies or intersectionals, but I hear they do best with evening shade and sufficiently moist soil, here in Tennessee. I would love to grow some tree peonies, but haven't developed the location I want to plant them at, yet. It's on my to-do list...sometime.
