Finding next best thing to Sugar Nut Melon

webheadmusicAugust 18, 2012

I grew an F-1 hybrid melon called "Sugar Nut" for three years in the Wilson/Smith County area and it became our all time favorite. The last two years I have been unable to find it anywhere. We've looked high and low for it but have come up empty. Johnny's Seeds said they replaced it with Brilliant F-1 melon, which we grew this year. Not bad, but no replacement for "Sugar Nut". Can someone suggest either

A. where I could find it? or

B. a replacement that has the same qualities--super sweet and perfect texture (if possible an Organic or Heirloom variety would be an added bonus)?

Thanks : )
