While travelling through Virginia. We stopped at Monticello--Thomas Jefferson's plantation and gardens. It is a very unique place attop of a mountain--5000 acres!!! Just off of Highway 64 in Charlottesville, Virgina. He "Thomas Jefferson" our third president was an avid gardner. If you are interested in Gardening and American History; this place is a must see!!!!. Attached is a link to Monticello.........Had to share!!!......Dianne

PS....If you go there, please note the majestic trees that dot the property. Some of the trunks are HUGE!

Went there also and some of my non gardening companions were as overwhelmed as I. He was a man of vision.

So glad that you got to see the "Vision" of Thomas Jefferson. He was certainly a man ahead of his time!!.......Dianne
