What is this tropical plant?

gardening_guyDecember 1, 2011

Can anyone help me find out what this plant is that I bought? I purchased it while at an orchid show, and was from a vendor that sold it to me as a little root, almost like a tuber. Apparently it has a big white flower at some point, but maybe not. I was hoping that someone recognizes the leaves. It's very tropical, grows in always moist soil, and like bright filtered sun, never direct sun. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds/looks like a Phaleonopsis orchid. Google images for example below

It could also be a clivia miniata
