My kids and I ate a mango today, and found that the seed had germinated. It looks like the a nascent stem and leaves are outside of the pod itself, although it was still connected to it.
I put it in some moist peat based soil, but, in the process, it broke off from the seed pod. Have I effectively killed it?
If not, I'm assuming I need to keep it in a pretty warm space and give it a lot of sun when (if) it takes off. Any other suggestions?
