I grew it, but I don't know what it is...

Hi, Guys...Five or six years ago, I bought a tree, that was suppose to be an orange tree. So ever since then, I've been waiting patiently for my tree to give me oranges. Well, this year it gave fruit, but not oranges. At first, I thought I had a grapefruit tree, but then, when I cut one open and ate it, I found out that the fruit was sweet, and had an orange taste, but with over-tones of grapefruit. No body around here in this part of Sinaloa, Mexico, can identify what this fruit is
I will try to download a photo to show you.
Please let me know if you can identify it.
Thanks,
jim

hi peterson, thi fruit looks like some kind of orange it could be a grapefruit, my guess is that its some kind of a hybrid like the tangelo or tangor it cud be a cross between a orange(navel) and a grapefruit.
