Need ID of Inherited Plant

Suzi AKA DesertDanceJuly 25, 2012

There were two sadly neglected ones in the estate. I uploaded MarionsSpindly, because it is very spindly, but showing signs of growth. It's in the guest tub and seems to like it there.

The other is MarionsLush, and you can view it here:

I'd like to know their names so I can find out how to care for them. I know they need repotting for sure!

I posted this in the Houseplant forum and got an immediate answer. They both are Dracaena marginata, and one had some sun, and the other had none, so they grew differently. I now know how to care for them!

I suspect that you'd be able to grow them as yard plants in your area though they are incredibly hardy as houseplants. You can prune them in many ways
If planted in the yard be sure you definitely want it in that location as they will become monsters!!! lol gary

Monsters, huh? Nice to know. I made a mistake of setting a potted sheflerra next to the front door, and its roots found their way into the ground, and before long, we couldn't find the front door! :-))
