On my patio, in my garden, thats screened in, I have this little round like balls. I have five piles located in different parts of the garden.
Could anyone please tell me what this is?
Email a picture to your local extension agent, associated with the ag. dept. of your local college/university - they will tell you what it is.
No, its not ferret poop.
I did dig under the piles and I discovered 1 very thin (almost like a thread) worm that was red in color.
I believe its dirt and not poop.
Looks kinda like crawfish digging...
But that generally confined to, say, spots were there's mud for em to dig in, and not usually gardens...
Any signs of holes near them?
It is rather strange looking, but I'd say dirt too!
Local ext agent might be the best move, but you gotta let us know what they say!
I don't know what they are, but I have them in my yard, too. I am in Jacksonville, Florida. Where are you, Scotty?
@Carol - in Coral Springs. Twenty-four miles N.W. of Ft. Lauderdale.
Scotty, after some research, I think they are earthworm castings.

@Love_the_yard / Carol - Thanks, that has to be it.
I guess I was thinking on the wrong scale...
I was thinking those clumps were like 3 or 4 inches long, maybe half an inch thick...lol...that would a serious worm!
And... I guess it's dirt AND poop...not or...ðÂÂÂ
