Cattleya harrisoniana

john_dr(SEQLD AUST)August 30, 2013

Cattleya harrisonana flowered for the first time after buying it at a Brisbane orchid show last year. As you can see one of the flower spikes has an alba form of the flower while the rest are the normal color. Any ideas? The plant is grown outside all year.

Some orchid flowers change color as they age. Sometimes temperature will change the color while the bud is developing.

You should re post in the orchid forum, you will get more responses.
