what kind of plant is this?

My mom got this plant from her friend. My aunt told us that she saw them in hawaii before. Her friend told her that it will have red flowers, but for 2 years nor it hasn't even bloom yet. The leaves are very big. It has these little plants with roots coming at the tips of it leaves.

It is Kalanchoe pinnata and has a lot of medicinal value that you can find on the web.
