Tomato Flowering Question

brendangApril 30, 2010

Happy Spring everyone!

I have a very basic question. Do tomatoes start to bloom when there are fewer daylight hours or do they automatically start flowering after a certain number of days?

I would appreciate any help.

Take care,

I think they start to put out buds when they have produced a certain amount of leaves, because the leaves start to produce more sugars than the plant needs so it puts the extra energy into flower/fruit production.
