bdfiveApril 11, 2009

Hello, I've joined but haven't learned my way around this site yet. I am looking for some Wild Plum Trees to purchase or dig up native to my area. I live near Blanco, Texas. Could I start them from a seed? Where could I get seeds? If anyone can help will you email me at bdfive@gvtc.com

Thanks so much,

Darlene

Not in your area. HOwever, you can have all you can dig from my place located at the Camp/Wood County line, Hwy 11, between Pittsburg and Winnsboro Texas.

Well darn!

Wish you had come to the Buda Plant Swap. It seemed like we had a LOT of wild Mexican Plums available, myself and others.
I don't have anymore babies right now, but if you don't have any luck finding any I'll see if one comes up this spring that I can take to the next Fall swap.

Fate carried me here. For months I have been offering wild plum trees to anyone who wanted to dig them up. There are dozens of them outside my door. It's about a 2 hr drive from Blanco to Taylor.Make your way to Austin and head north on I35. In Round Rock, take the Hwy 79 exit to drive east to Taylor.
It's already getting hot but ground to ground plantings ought to survive with sufficient watering.
You can email me @ magreene09@yahoo.com for a phone #.
