Where to buy root stock for grafting??

slane15June 20, 2011

I know I can plant a seed (I actually have 4 germinating), but it's the perfect time to get a scion from my tree and I would like to prune them off tomorrow and graft them on to a root stock.

Your best bet is to find some large trees that have seedlings growing around them and dig them up, with owner's permission of course.

Sometimes on craigslist there are people selling random seedlings, though I don't think they realize their seedling grown trees aren't worth as much as they ask ;).
