Thailand pics - Day 8

We got up and left before the chickens stirred and headed to Umpawa to see the floating market. This wasn't your touristy floating market either.

Took boats along the waterways and visited several traditional Thai homes...people actually living in them too. Not many comforts we take for granted. Watching the people ply their trade from their boats was really cool. Any type of food and fruit was available...much of it cooked to order if you were a little patient.

The next stop was a memorial park for King #2 of this dynasty. A very beautiful park with many traditional structures as well. It was mainly a relaxing walk and filled up the afternoon before heading back home.

We call the Palm Sugar, Gula melaka here. Blend avocado + milk + melted Palm Sugar and you have got a refreshing drink.
