HAVE: Waxahachie Autumn Swap Saturday October 18 2014
This will be our second swap at Brown Singleton Park;
the first ever Waxahachie Swap was last spring, & everyone who came had a great time & went home with wonderful plants & new friends!
a couple of highlights from last spring:
The 'iris lady', whose plants are descended from a bunch she ordered from Schreiner's way back when, had at least 2 bushel baskets of them.
A man from Alvarado had the most *perfect*, the most *gorgeous* succulents, all named, all labeled, in half-gallon (I think) pots.
A woman from Palmer had crinums & spider lilies & promised more.
We start at 9 AM & usually our motors run down by about 1 PM, but there's no limit on our time at the park.
Brown Singleton Park is on Farley Street, just a bit south of 287 (the bypass, not business 287).
When you pass River Oaks Subdivision, you'll see the park on the right.
Turn in to the parking lot, & we'll be there at the front, by the trees.
Classic plant swap rules:
trade anything for anything as long as everybody's happy.
if you're just getting in to gardening, bring cookies or crafts or just anything; gardeners always need sunblock, lotion, gardening gloves, pots, etc.
