HAVE: Vinca Major, lots of it

lieslmcq(8a)December 3, 2008

Please keep in mind that I have no idea what I'm doing in the garden, yet, so I may not have removed this vine correctly. Honestly, it looks incredibly healthy and it looks like I got some root balls. It also looks like some of the plants have little, um.... OK, it looks like they have penii. I have tons of it. The plant, that is.

I'm so sorry, I didn't know there had been a response to my post. No, no vinca minor. Honestly, the stuff I have is SO invasive, I would caution anyone from wanting it. Sorry!

Watch out for this plant. If it gets happy. the rest of your garden is in danger unless you spend the energy to keep it under control. I now several old houses that only have this plant and nothing else. There veg garden has disappeared too under the vine. True the owner is lax but she is also intimidated by several invasive plants planted in her yard by the previous owner. Her yard is a textbook of what not to plant. Like Tree of Hell, I mean, Heaven.

Oooooh, yes, I know! I am STILL battling this plant, though I've been attempting to get rid of it for months. As you can see from the attached link, it was EVERYWHERE when we bought this house. That, along with ivy, morning glory, bamboo, mahonia belei, chinese tallow, etc. I could go on and on about my invasive plant battles. I swear, there's a store somewhere that only sells the most invasive plants and that's where all of the plants in our gardens came from. It must be!
