Where to buy Metro-Mix 360 in Austin

goosta(8b)January 28, 2011

My wife and I just moved to Austin this past summer, so I'm working on finding sources for gardening supplies. I'm wondering if anyone knows if I can buy Metro-Mix 360 anywhere locally?

Thanks! :)

Barton Springs Nursery on Bee Caves Road has Metro Mix in large bags. I don'y know if it is "360". I buy this metro mix to as a sterile mix for seed starter . I combine it with other things to make different things like rooting medium, etc.. If you haven't been to Barton Springs nursery, it is worth a trip. Great nursery.

Yes, Austin, well it is in West Lake on Bee Caves drive. That is where I have bought it three times running over a span of about 7 years. maybe they run out of it or buy it seasonally. I buy it during the spring time when I have my big seed push. Then I still have some left over in the fall for my second seed push.

I have a problem finding Metro Mix in Ft. Worth also. But I have found B M 7 that works well also. Too cold and wet to get outside to check who makes it. Will try to post tomorrow with more info.
Good Luck.

I think I asked for it at the Natural Gardener back a few years ago and they did not have it , but things can change. That is my Nursery of choice Because it is the closest of the best nurseries in Austin.
