need id on vine seen at Us Botanical Gardens WDC

decogrlFebruary 14, 2008

Oh just when my phone crapped out...I was trying to take a picture of a vine seen over an entrance to one of the rooms in the US Botanic Gardens...I also happened to lose my piece of paper with the name. It was for surely in the bean family cause I remember the favaceae, and another part of the name was sinensis? Basiclly from far away the vine looks like butterfly bush flowers...tons of panicles to form this butterfly bush look---the color was BRIGHT blue...so pretty...Please can anyone tell me what this might be?

Sounds like it could be Wisteria sinensis.
