Need to identify Two Japanese Morning Glory

hmacdona1April 20, 2008

Hi,

I have just traded for these japanese morning glories and was hoping someone might be able to identify the specific types. I will also post this note in the "name this plant" forum to be safe. Thanks in advance....Heather

Hi Heather,

The First bloom is

"Akatsuki no Tsuyu" which is Romaji for "The Dew at Dawn"
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/103762/

aka

"Blue Silk" by Western marketing terminology
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/77673/

The second bloom is either "Fuji no Murasaki"
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/171364/

or

MaiSugata
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/89520/

Hope that helps...,

Ron
