honeysuckle 'Major Wheeler'

bogturtle(SE NJ 7a)April 25, 2009

I have 3 Lonicera sempervirens, but not 'Major Wheeler'. None have any odor. A third unsolicited catalog, this Spring, shows a beautiful photo and says it is fragrant.

Glowing photos and descriptions, some color enhanced. I will see if they have a customer service e-mail and ask them not to waste paper by sending me catalogs. I deal with companies that send me fine stock and have conservative descriptions.

Has 'Major Wheeler' a fine fragrance?

Major Wheeler is a sempervirens. It has excellent color and a long bloom season but is not fragrant. Burned me up when I saw it listed with a fragrance in that catalog. Gives mail order a bad name.
