Kiwi pollinator

mtkilnMay 2, 2009

Recently purchased two kiwi vines - a Ken's Red (female) and an Issai. Was told at the nursery that the Issai would act as a pollinator for the Ken's Red, but further reading makes me wonder as Issai has been characterized as "self-fertile", with "dead pollen", rather than "both male & female" as it was described at the nursery. Any one have a definitive answer on this one?
