Sweet Autumn Clematis Question

RickFloMay 18, 2012

Can you prune/cut all the vines but 1 untill it reachs the top of a trellis before letting it take over ? The trellis was built 1-ft away from a iron fence and i dont want it taking over the iron fence.

Yes you can, but of course every year you will have to pull up the hundreds of seedlings that come up and try to take the fence.
