What Can I Do to Save this Vine????

I purchased a mandevilla vine called 'Red Fury' from a greenhouse weeks ago. IT was the last one and I was hesitant to purchase because it had a couple of brown crispy patches on a leaf or two and a couple of yellowish leaves. The owner said, "oh yes, it will come out of it, just fertilize it". Like a dummy I did buy it. I repotted it, fertilized it, and it just seems to keep getting brown patches on the leaves and it has dropped a couple of flowering buds? Can you help?

Stop fertilizing. Too much fertilizer could be responsible for the burn on the leaves when you first brought it home. Especially if watering has been haphazard.

I hate to be brutal, but here goes: If your mandevilla is in bad shape now, return it. By the time it gets happy again it will be July - half of the season gone. There must be another nursery near you.
