Do you know this vine?

First-timer on this forum--I normally hang out at the winter sowing forum.

A friend gave me a hunk of what she called a white-flowered trumpet vine. But I'm not sure that's really what it is, and The Google hasn't been much help.

The vine has a massive woody root, and the leaves and stem are covered with fine fuzz. The piece I got was dug up on a hot day in zone 6b Maryland, so the leaves are pretty ragged. I am told the vine needs full sun.

Can anyone tell me what this plant is?

It is a Datura, which can become a sprawling shrub/plant, but it's not a vine. Check out the link below to see a closeup picture.

Thanks! A couple other people have also pegged it as a Datura. The person who gave it to me mistakenly called the plant a trumpet vine instead of a trumpet flower, hence my trip to this forum.

I am constantly amazed at the amount of expertise in the Gardenweb community.
