I.D. Please

sunkisst(9b/10a)August 25, 2008

This volunteer vine started growing on my fence in late spring. It now covers approximately 9 ft. of fencing. It had a bit of an almost blueish hue to the perfect foliage and a ton of white star flowers before we started getting all this torrential rain a couple of weeks ago. Now the vine appears more greenish and a little less healthy (nothing serious looking yet, probably just water-logged). The newly emerged, pictured fruit are currently 4 inches long.

Thank You.

I've been searching tropical/subtropical fruit on the web some more and was wondering if anyone thinks this could be Chayote?
Not exactly like photos I've found but who knows, description is similar. Thanks Again.

It doesn't look like a chayote but I have no idea what that is. Try posting the pic on the Name This Plant forum. You'll probably get an answer quickly. I'd love to know what it is.
