seed pods forming on Trumpet vine after 5 + years

jokuehn(5)September 27, 2013

I planted a trumpet vine over five years ago and it has never bloomed. My dog has been digging around at the base of it and now there are a few seed pods developing. Is it because it was disturbed that it decided to bloom? Any thoughts?

It takes a number of years until the vine is mature enough to bloom....sounds like this is coincidence

I figured as much. Maybe next summer I will get a ton of blossoms then.

Thanks for you post.
