Is this a Siberian Iris or a Dutch Iris?

jardineratxApril 1, 2014

I have had a clump of siberian iris that started with a shared rhizome a few years ago. They have only bloomed once or twice (I know they prefer cooler climates), but this year they are blooming nicely. I purchased dutch iris bulbs last fall and now I am not sure which of these two iris blooms these are. Is there some way this bloom can be identified?

Thanks, Cynthia...II thought it was a dutch iris, rather than siberian iris.

You are right, Wally. The Dutch are bulbs which I planted among the Siberian rhizomes so I was not sure which these blooms were.
