Toxic to cats?

shadyindylady(z5IN)September 19, 2006

Does anyone know if the Tropical Mandevilla Vine is toxic to cats? I can't find any information on this and I've looked everywhere. I have a beautiful yellow one that I was thinking of over-wintering but don't want to take a chance if it's harmful to my cats in any way.

I might hesitate bringing this in the house with a cat. The plant family it belongs to (Apocynaceae) contains many toxic plants.

Here is a link that might be useful: Mandevilla information
