Yellow secretion from red worms

nyc_teacherOctober 29, 2008

We're starting a classroom red worm compost bin and the children were observing the worms. When they held the worms, there was a yellow secretion that got on their hands and the white paper plates. I can't find information about what it is. I didn't know that the worms "pee." Do you know? Thank you!
