Jungle in my back yard

new_yorker20March 21, 2007

I want to turn the jungle in my back yard into a vegetable garden. Now it is all bushes, small poplars and weed. What would be the most efficient way to handle this? Advice on techniques, tools etc. would be greatly appreciated.

rent a walk behind brush cutter. use it to clear what you can. then cut the larger stuff down with a chainsaw, or pull it up using a truck and a chain. then till the ground and amend as needed.
