looks like marsh marigolds

Have millions of small buttercup-like shiny yellow flowers. They look like MM, but not as tall.

What is it?

They aren't too bad, especially under hundreds of daffs. When they're finished in late May, they just collapes and disappear.

Perhaps a close relative -- Ranunculus ficaria. If so, start removing it now.
