I'm still learning.....are these mule or white tails?
Sorry, not a good picture, it was getting dark.
Very white, white tail deer. Actually the white showing on their tail is a danger flag to all other deer in area, such as a red flag is to us. Normally the only time it is displayed is when the deer is nervous or feels threatened. jim
Thank you Jim!
You can see the center picture head of the deer looks more
of a mule, [I mean horse/dunkey mule] LOL
Is it because they are related to mule deer, or is it why
the mule deer got its name?
Not sure about tht konrad, Does have a different looking head for some strange reason. They are not related though. jim.
>>Does have a different looking head for some strange reasonDoesn't it!
Some weeks ago when checking on a road kill, where a I believe a Coyote was feeding on, I couldn't believe what I'm seeing, a head like a donkey, just like these guys!
A little time before, shot this pic and I was about 99% sure it was white tail.....that's why I got confused!
You can see that the head is smaller and looking like a deer.
I think the difference is that of age. An older deer (especially bucks) tend to have a larger more elongated head compared to that of a yearling.
